the eastern temples are the last group of three temples to survive the thousands of years since they were built. the three temples, the ground temple, the wave temple, and the sky temple, were built to honor the legendary pokemon groudon, kyogre, and rayquaza respectively. though the temples are no longer visited as often as they once were, they are still very sacred to the people of the island.
