Thousands of years ago, when the world was still new, Pokemon roamed the earth. But there was a terrible volcanic eruption that spread ash across the sky, blocking the sun and suffocating all living creatures, burying them under layers upon layers of hardened lava and soot. Those who did escape the blast were a group of humans who had prayed to the legendary trio Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza for safety. The three legendary beasts answered the peoples' prayers by giving them a new life on an island in the middle of the ocean, untouched by the volcanic ash, named Cornflower Island. As the rest of the world rebuilt itself, all pokemon and their existence was erased from history. But the people of Cornflower Island still believed, and in return the legendary pokemon gave the people of the island extraordinary powers so that the world would never truly forget the pokemon who once roamed the land.
So, welcome to the island of Cornflower, far from the prying eyes of society, where pokemon are still remembered through stories passed down from generation to generation. Before you go ahead and settle into the island activities, answer this:

CHARACTER NECESSITIES
RELATIONSHIPPING - 2 Viewing (1 sub-board) everyone needs friends and enemies, and maybe even a little bit of lovin' here and there. as such, we have this board for all members to visit and create plots with their characters. though not required, it's highly recommended, especially for those newbies out there.
KEEP IN TOUCH (3 sub-boards) just because cornflower island is a remote little island in the middle of the ocean with little to no contact with the outside world, doesn't mean residents don't have basic technology and ways to keep in touch with one another.
THREAD TRACKERS for those of us who aren't the best at keeping track of our things, the thread tracker provides members with an excellent outlet for writing down all information pertaining to their characters, from the threads they're in to the car they drive.
CRYSTALRIDGE CITY crystalridge city is the most tropical part of the island. located at the topmost area of cornflower island, crystalridge city is closest to the earth's equator, thus making it the perfect place for palm trees and bikini season all year round. not to mention, it's right on the ocean, so spending the day on the beach is a frequent must for the city's residents.

NORTHERN BEACH the northern beach is the most popular beach on the island. covered in warm yellow sand, and surrounded by aqua-blue water, you're never too old to lounge around and work on that tan, or surf the perfect crescent waves.
STONEHOLT BEACH stoneholt beach isn't exactly the perfect place for building sandcastles... unless, of course, you intend to make them out of rocks. unlike the rest of the beaches that border the northern part of cornflower, stoneholt beach is covered in cold, smooth rocks and stones of all shapes and sizes. the fog that rolls in every day around noon doesn't make it the perfect place for tanning, either. despite that, it's not unusual to see people taking a dip in the water or roaming the shore looking for rare rocks and minerals.

EASTERN CORNFLOWER
EASTERN TEMPLES the eastern temples are the last group of three temples to survive the thousands of years since they were built. the three temples, the ground temple, the wave temple, and the sky temple, were built to honor the legendary pokemon groudon, kyogre, and rayquaza respectively. though the temples are no longer visited as often as they once were, they are still very sacred to the people of the island.

BRECKFIELD CITY (1 sub-board) breckfield city is a large modern city in the middle of the eastern part of cornflower. breckfield may not be the largest of cities, but it's home to the breckfield powerplant, which supplies electricity to the majority of the island. because it's so modern, most residents either have a car of their own, or have a transportation pass to get from place to place as quickly as possible.
WILDFLOWER PLAINS as their namesake suggests, the wildflower plains are home to hundreds of kinds of wildflowers. though the plains go on for miles upon miles without so much as a landmark, there are groups of huts scattered around the plains where people choose to live amongst nature in complete serenity. those who live in the wildflower plains use their time making sugary candies which are sold in markets around the entire island.
WESTERBELL MOUNTAIN RANGE the westerbell mountain range is a large assemble of mountains on the western coast of cornflower island. while there aren't many trees or plants located around the mountains, it's truly a site to behold while climbing your way to the top.

WESTVIEW TOWN despite its name, westview town doesn't exactly have a great view, unless you like looking at rocks outside your window. the small town is located at the base of the westerbell mountain range, and is a frequent pit stop for those adventuresome folk who dream to climb all the way to the top of the mountains. aside from the travelers, westview is a quiet town with not much going on.

SOUTHERN CORNFLOWER
MAPLEWOOD CITY maplewood city is the largest city on the island. the buildings are reminiscent of traditional japanese architecture, though still very modern on the inside. maplewood city is not only surrounded by woods, but covered in various trees and foliage on the inside of the city as well, making it look very much like a large garden metropolis.
DEEPFOG FOREST the deepfog forest is a dark, almost spooky forest towards the center of the island. the farther you go into the forest, the closer the trees get, and the harder it is to find your way out. though most of the southern corner of the island is known for its beauty, the deepfog forest is the last place most people would call "pretty".

ELFRIDGE TOWN located in a remote wooded area, elfridge town is a tiny village famous for its local herb shops. residents make use of the local plants to make surprisingly effective medicines, as well as hundreds of flavors of tea.
